If you are about to take up a position in a Portuguese speaking country (Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique etc) be it diplomatic, business related, teaching or missionary work, the chances are you will need a good grasp of the language before you can effectively deal with your day to day tasks. While in many situations you will be with people who can act as translators for you it is likely that you will be able to do your job more efficiently if you are able to communicate well in Portuguese.

Individual, one-to-one, training is the most efficient and cost effective way to learn the language. With the exclusive attention of your trainer you have the opportunity to progress at exactly your own pace. More importantly the course can be adapted and tailored to your individual needs and focus on specific language skills and vocabulary that are or will be important to you in your job.

As they are flexible courses they can also be combined with training Programs in other countries, and many of our learners come to Porto after an initial period of study in their own country although this is by no means necessary.

The courses are very much learner centred. There is a basic framework that is followed for each trainee (especially for those at beginner and elementary levels) but the actual format of the course will depend very much on the individual and their needs.
