1) OPEN GROUPS Group lessons offer you an excellent opportunity to learn Portuguese and the small classes at inlingua (an average of just 3 or 4 students) mean that you will be receiving plenty of individual attention from your teacher. Placement test If you already have some knowledge of Portuguese then you will take a placement test on the first day of your course to enable us to put you into a group with other people of a similar level of Portuguese. If you are a beginner then your training starts right away!

Who will be in the group with me?
People on group courses learn Portuguese for a variety of reasons. Many people need Portuguese for work reasons, either because they already need Portuguese in their job or they will do in the future. Others have recently moved to Porto and want to learn Portuguese as a way of making the most of living here. Some are university students, studying Portuguese at university in their countries and come to Porto to combine studying with holidays. Others simply enjoy learning languages and Portuguese offers an exotic alternative to Spanish and French.
Your course is guaranteed even if you are the only person in the group! In these cases the number of hours training per day is reduced (see terms and conditions)

Course Profile
The courses are very intensive - with 3 x 60 minute lessons every day. Typically the lessons start at 9.30 and finish at 12.45 with a 15 minute coffe break. In the afternoon there are 2 x 45 minute sessions with the online learning programme. The online learning sessions are optional and many students prefer to do these in the evening or at the weekend.

On Wednesday afternoons there is a half day excursion organised by the school. (Example: a visit to the port cellars, a trip to the city park, a guided tour of historic Porto, a drink by the beach etc).
