Internationally recognised language standards
All courses at inlingua are linked to language standards recognised by both the European Union and the US. State Department. Participants will receive a diploma on completion of their course with current level of language indicated on the international language scale.
Quality Control
When you take an inlingua training course you are not investing in an individual teacher but in a comprehensive training package with its own system of support and control. Each week the teachers formally discuss their lessons with their director of studies. Their lesson plans are reviewed and any difficulties are analysed and resolved. All teachers are regularly observed giving lessons by their director of studies.
Careful Monitoring
Your program will be very carefully monitored by inlingua. Every week the details of the class is analysed at the school. You will automatically be contacted if:
- Any participant misses two consecutive training sessions
- The class is not progressing according to the normal standards.
Every month you will be sent a detailed report including details of each student's attendance as well as information about progress, punctuality and current level.
Recommended Language policy
We recommend that companies adopt internationally recognised levels for their language training. You will find it convenient to attribute certain levels to correspond to job descriptions within your company. You may decide, for example, that all management should have a minimum European level 3 (Contribution) English or that everyone in the sales department should be able to speak German at European level 1 (Survival).
As a basic guideline we recommend that all employees who need to use a foreign language for work related purposes should aim to have a language skills equivalent to European level 2 (Participation).
Language Evaluation
Part of the inlingua service includes a detailed analysis and evaluation of your staff's language abilities. With this information you will be able to programme your company language training and calculate the investment necessary to attain your prearranged targets. We will also help you in your recruitment and evaluate the language skills of candidates for places in your company.
Training location
Most company training takes place on company premises but we have excellent facilities of our own in the centre of Porto and can also organise courses in other locations.
