1) Reading Comprehension

Part 1: General comprehension of short   texts from newspapers

Part 2: Detailed comprehension of   two texts

Multiple choice / true-false /   matching exercises

2) Writing

Part 1: a letter (personal or to a   company) - 160-180 words

Part 2: A text of 160-180 words   chosen from three topics (narrative, description, argument)

3) Grammar and Structures

Grammar exercises (verbs, prepositions, pronouns   etc)

Completing texts and transforming   sentences.

4) Listening

Part 1: listen to short texts from   everyday situations

Part 2: listen to texts from the   radio

Part 3: listen to an extract from   a conference, a guided tour or to a piece asking for or giving information or   expressing opinions.

Multiple choice / true-false /   matching exercises

5) Oral (3 parts)

The oral test is done in pairs   (two candidates + 1 examiner)

Part 1: interaction between   examiner and candidate about personal identification

Part 2: interaction between candidates   about planning an activity or resolving a problem.

Part 3: interaction between   examiner and both candidates about a topic given to the candidates before the   interview.
